Description

Mace is dried amber yellowish- orange coloured flower which cover the nutmeg fruit. It has taste somewhat similar to nutmeg, but stronger, more intense and bitter in taste.
It is used mainly in speciality spices to add zaikaa. Also in regular use spice blends it has been used in lesser quantity.

Whole mace is also used in making Biryani and Pulav or some shahi dishes.
