Khaskhas is widely used in Indian cooking. It is used while making Indian spice blends, as thickening agents and it also gives richer taste to gravies. It is hard to grind raw khuskhus, but once fried or roasted one can make paste of it.
While making cutlets or similar items one can use it as coating before its been fried. Even in few Maharashtrian sweets like Anarase, khuskhus is used for coating.
